Advent Welcome National Prayer – “We Make Room” (English)
“Lord Jesus, we thank You that You entered our world through a humble, vulnerable family. As Evangelicals committed to Your Word, we remember that You were born to those who were traveling, turned away, and later seeking safety. You are the God who makes room for us. So this Advent, teach us to make room for others. Open our eyes to the dignity of every image-bearer. Open our hearts to welcome the stranger with wisdom, compassion, justice and love. Remove fear from us, and fill us with the hope, peace, joy, and love that come from Your presence. May our churches and institutions be places where Your welcome is felt and Your light is seen. This Advent, let us be the Inn that opens its doors. Let us be the people who say ‘Yes’ where others say ‘No room.’ And let our hospitality become a witness to Your Gospel. In Your holy name, Jesus, we pray. Amen.”
Oración Nacional Del Adviento – “Hacemos Espacio” (Spanish)
“Señor Jesús, te damos gracias porque entraste a nuestro mundo a través de una familia humilde y vulnerable. Como evangélicos comprometidos con Tu Palabra, recordamos que naciste en medio de un viaje difícil, rechazado por muchos, y después buscando refugio. Tú eres el Dios que hace espacio para nosotros. Por eso, en este Adviento, enséñanos a hacer espacio para los demás. Abre nuestros ojos a la dignidad de cada portador de Tu imagen. Abre nuestro corazón para recibir al extranjero con sabiduría, compasión, justicia, y amor. Quita todo temor y llénanos de la esperanza, la paz, el gozo y el amor que vienen de Tu presencia. Que nuestras iglesias sean lugares donde se sienta Tu bienvenida y se vea Tu luz. En este Adviento, que seamos la posada que abre sus puertas. Que seamos el pueblo que dice ‘Sí’ donde otros dicen ‘No hay lugar.’ Y que nuestra hospitalidad sea un testimonio de Tu Evangelio. En Tu santo nombre oramos, Jesús. Amén.”
