Centered on the realities inside detention centers and the call to walk alongside immigrant communities, Solidarity Summer offers opportunities to gather, grow in understanding, and take meaningful action for the flourishing of our neighbors.

How to participate
Four ways to engage with Solidarity Summer

Participate in the Formation Series.
Join the Faithful Witness Campaign for our monthly formation series designed to equip us for faithful witness. Find the full formation series event postings here.
Meditate – A monthly virtual gathering where we pause together to meditate on God’s Word and engage spiritual practices that prepare us for faithful presence alongside our neighbors.
Move – A monthly virtual gathering focused on building the organizing skills needed to move as faithful witnesses alongside our neighbors.

Connect with or build a Faithful Witness Movement in your area.
Locate a movement near you to connect with this Summer. If there isn’t an established movement in your area, consider building a Faithful Witness Team or registering your organization as a Faithful Witness Partner. Find more information about FW Movements here.

Host or attend a local public action.
We will be hosting events across the country this summer to stand in solidarity with our immigrant neighbors. From prayer vigils at detention centers to discussion groups in churches to gatherings at city halls, we invite you to join us in faithful action this summer. Find an event near your or consider hosting one in your area.

Join us for a national gathering at Marquette Park on August 1.
Join us on Saturday, August 1st, 2026, for a gathering at Marquette Park to stand for democracy and advocate for rights for all, including our immigrant neighbors, on the 60th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s march through Marquette Park. The gathering is led locally by the Inner-City Muslim Action Network (IMAN) in partnership with the City of Chicago, and nationally by Powered by Faith, a coalition of faith leaders representing tens of thousands of constituents. Faithful Witness is joining as a coalition partner, and we invite you to join us in Chicago!
