Haitian Solidarity Rally

On Wednesday, October 21, we will begin a 4-day pilgrimage from Springfield to the Ohio Capitol in Columbus to elevate our response to attacks on the Haitian community and other immigrant communities in Ohio and across the nation.

Will you join us? You can help send off the pilgrimage on Wednesday, join us for all or part of the march, and meet us in Columbus on Saturday.

We walk the national road to Columbus as an embodiment of the choice we have as a nation: Do we embody welcome, love of neighbor and stranger, mercy, and justice? Or do we go the way of isolation, fear, and dehumanization?

We choose love of neighbor.

The walk will begin at 8 am on Wednesday, October 21 at Springfield City Plaza and end at 1 pm on Saturday, October 24 in Columbus. Please join us for the Rally at 1 PM at West Bank Park in Columbus at 1 PM on Saturday!

The Haitian community has 4 demands, which we carry to the statehouse:

1. Officially end ankle monitor program.

2. ICE out of Springfield.

3. Return Haitian people in detention to their families, including pastors.

4. Permanent Protected Status for Haitian People.

Register here for any of the events and we will provide you with more information. Thank you for your solidarity.
