The Advent Welcome initiative, created by the National Latino Evangelical Coalition (NaLEC), asks a simple but transforming question: <em>What if preparing for Christ&#8217;s coming meant welcoming those he said he would come in?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drawing on Matthew 25 \u2014 &#8220;I was a stranger and you welcomed me&#8221; \u2014 Advent Welcome invites congregations to see hospitality toward immigrant neighbors not as a political act but as a spiritual one. The initiative provides churches with practical resources, theological grounding, and community across the Advent season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"fw-split fw-split--right\"><div class=\"fw-split__img\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/faithfulwitness.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/2cf5f9_5beaffae4a17464bb965df3da0a5cdc6mv2-480x600.png\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/div><div class=\"fw-split__text\"><p>Dear Friends,<br \/><br \/><br \/>\nGrace and peace to you in this holy Advent Season. We are honored to share the launch of our national Advent Welcome: Immigration Solidarity Initiative, &#8220;Room In The Inn&#8221;.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>As Evangelicals, we affirm that Scripture calls us to welcome, to compassion, and to Christ-shaped hospitality. During Advent, we remember that our Savior entered the world through a family facing displacement, rejection, and uncertainty. The incarnation itself is God&#8217;s declaration that human dignity is of the utmost importance. This movement is not partisan. It is Biblical, Gospel-centered, pastoral, and rooted in the life of Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Together, beginning December 5th and every Sunday in Advent, we will proclaim that the Evangelical church chooses to be the inn that opens its doors WISELY, JUDICIOUSLY, AND COMPASSIONATELY &#8211; not one that turns people away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Room in The Inn\" width=\"720\" height=\"405\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/59Grql0fp2o?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Advent welcome toolkit: Hope, Peace, Joy, Love. For customizations, contact us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unified Advent Prayer (English\/Spanish): Record this prayer (English or Spanish) and post on Dec 5th (Campaign start). Share on your platforms, and send us your recording by Dec 1st so that we can stitch together a collective national video.
